Find out about our Choughs - Black birds, rather like Jackdaws, with red beaks and legs.
To improve readability and navigation, we are going over to using 'Son of Suckerfish Menus'. Entertaining when Internet Explorer has so many quirks! I suggest you use Firefox or SWIron Browsers for the best experience! Workls OK in Safari, but java is not behaving in Opera.
We have been busy Renovating an old cottage and building a modern extension on to it. At the same time our 8 acres of land has needed a great deal of work.
We belong to Wwoof Ireland and have begun to use Wwoofers to help us maintain land and gardens. Our Wwoofing Experiences have been a great experience so far. It is a pleasure to host these young people who work for their keep. We learn about their life and culture as they do ours and enjoy swapping recipes, but we get a great deal more done than we would on our own.
Susy is mad about animals, and has been one of the prime movers in setting up Rural Animal Welfare Resources which is an Animal Charity based in Bantry. She has gradually built up her 'Zoo' here at home currently standing at 33 in total.
Susy has also developed an interest in Herbal Medicine, has been doing an apprenticeship in this, (She has not been fired!) and begins her clinical training in September 2012. She would like to specialise in animal care.
